MissDemented Wig Review

for this wig "Death By Chocolate"

Red hair has been my thing for several months and I'm missing dark hair. I am aware she buys these and modifies them. Anyways, this was supposed to be a birthday present and ordered it back in May. Original price $90+ and her sales vary from $70-$60. Yes, this was made to order + came in 6 weeks.

I messaged her asking her if it's super shiny because I've worn human & synthetic wigs before. I'm not wearing this to a party, but for outings. Said it's not because it's "in the sun" and is as picture shows.

It came in an envelope. Of course, it's quite shiny in the sun but otherwise it's not. Sweeeet, baby powder. It's convincing not only to drunks, but to sober people! WHICH IS CRAZY btw. Super long but nowhere as thick as my own hair, or as picture shows.

I took great care of the wig and put it on a stryofoam head away from everything ...somehow the hook underneath broke. I'm not even strong enough to break it with my hands, that's not cool. Length was noticeably uneven and had to cut it myself.

Problem:

Bangs: "can be parted to the left or the right."

Not true at all unfortunately

Adventure to Red Hair (4)

Bleach bath! Considering red x yellow = orange.

Equal parts of bleach and developer PLUS 1.5 of shampoo + 0.5 of water for dry hair.
(2 parts of shampoo for damp)

A clarifying shampoo is perfect because it will help fade/strip out hair color.

While this is more gentle than bleach alone, I left it on for 25 minutes because I'm a wuss. A much nicer, natural looking shade exposed :))) Some stubborn dark pieces from earlier were redid with a tiny amount of bleach for about 15 minutes. Overall lighter shade!

Took out the orange from my bangs [redid roots, shhh] and put Ruby Red on it for 40 minutes.

Didn't like it because it looked orangey- pink in pictures and didn't take to my roots well.

I left it on for about 2 hrs. It's been two weeks of no shampoo/wash and I used a small amount of my shampoo on my scalp only. I put about a tablespoon of my dye into my conditioner, shook it up and put it all over my hair. Let it sit for about 15 mins. You are basically dyeing your hair so leave it on for a bit!

even much pinker! :D

Results!

It's difficult to capture red. Looks pink, orangey or dark.

The reason behind posting this is because when I started researching dyes and whatnot, I wanted PICTURES. I found very little and I'll rather have a visual than text saying "it's a bright red" well? is it like SFX nuclear red or atomic pink? is it a dark natural looking red, etcetc?

Honestly could not find any pictures of RAW's Ruby Red. So here you go interwebs!
